BUNDARBO BRIDGE ASSESSMENT, LOAD TESTING, REHABILITATION AND REPLACEMENT
The project comprised a new bridge across the Murrumbidgee River built approximately nine meters downstream from the existing bridge on Bundarbo Road, Jugiong.
The new bridge is 8.7 metres wide and 105 metres long and will be a dual carriage bridge. Once the new bridge and road approaches have been completed the old bridge will be closed to traffic and demolished.
This project was co-funded by the Australian Government, under the Heavy Vehicle Safety and Productivity Program and Bridges Renewal Program, and Hilltops Council.
The Bundarbo Bridge spans the Murrumbidgee River at Jugiong. This project involved a structural assessment, including Level 4 load testing, load rating, and finite element analysis of the existing bridge.
