BARRINGTON BRIDGE DEMOLITION
The Bridge over Barrington River at Barrington, NSW is on the Thunderbolts Way and was built in 1918. Barrington Bridge is a two-span Allan timber truss bridge with timber girder approach spans that is subject to heavy use by logging trucks. The bridge is listed on the LEP as a heritage item of local significance and was ranked 50th in the timber bridge heritage study completed by MBK in 1998.
The Barrington Bridge Demolition project, managed by MLEI for Transport for NSW, was successfully completed in 2020 in NSW. This project demonstrates MLEI’s capability to manage complex demolition projects while maintaining heritage considerations and safety standards.
