POSITION SUMMARY

As our company continues to expand and grow our portfolio in the Sports & Recreation sector, we are seeking a driven Senior Structural/Aquatics Engineer to join our team.

This role offers the chance to work on a wide variety of projects nationally and principally in the Sport & Recreation sector with a key client facing role for the development and delivery of key projects.

The Sports & Recreation division is delivered under a national approach; therefore, we are considering candidates from Melbourne, Adelaide or Brisbane for this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, under the guidance of the Sport & Recreation Leadership team, you will be tasked with:

• Undertake detailed analysis of various structural designs including stadia, aquatic structures, building structures and supporting sport & recreation infrastructure.
• Work collaboratively within project teams, including Architects, Services Engineers, Contractors and other key stakeholders.
• Provide construction phase services.
• Perform investigative inspections and report writing.
• Utilise various software packages for structural analysis.
• Review and interpret project inputs, such as architectural and services documentation, surveys, and other client inputs.
• Meet project timeframes and budgets.
• Be motivated in self-learning activities.
• Take on some project and financial management responsibilities for key projects.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor (or Master) of Engineering degree in Civil/Structural with advanced knowledge in structural engineering for aquatic and/or sport and recreation facilities or
  8-15 years of experience in the structural design of aquatic and/or sport & recreational facilities
• Strong team player with client and project lead abilities
• Strong experience with reinforced concrete and post-tensioned concrete and water retention structures is advantageous
• Ability to meet deadlines and work within budgets
• Sound knowledge of relevant legal requirements, current codes of practice and industry best practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated progress towards Chartered Status is advantageous
• Experience in project delivery within Australia is advantageous.
